Accessibility on the FLOCERT website: Text Size, Captions, Fair Language, and More

Text size

If you would prefer the font size to be larger or smaller, you can easily adjust it on your browser:

Google Chrome

On your computer, open Google Chrome.
At the top right, click on the ellipsis (three dots) button and navigate to "Settings".
Click "Appearance".
Choose the font size that works best for you.

Microsoft Edge

On your computer, open Microsoft Edge.
At the top right, click the ellipsis (three dots) button and navigate to "Settings".
Click "Appearance".
Under the "Fonts" section, click the "Customise fonts" option.
In the next window, use the font size slider to choose the font size that works best for you.

If you use another browser, check their instructions on how to change text size.

Text alternatives

Where possible, we use text alternatives to describe the content of images.

Captions for audio

Where possible, we provide captions for our videos. In order to turn on captions for our videos (hosted by YouTube), press the play button and then navigate to the toolbar at the bottom of the video and click on "subtitles/closed captions" so that a red line appears under it.

Fair language

Fair language helps to avoid discrimination, exclusion, or prejudice that can be conveyed through the use of certain words or expressions. Therefore, we strive to use inclusive language in all of our communication even if it means using less formal language. For example, we address all of our customers with "first name", "last name" and will not ask for gender as it isn't relevant or necessary.

Other features

We have large, clear headings and clearly labelled links to ensure our content is easy to understand. Some of our pages also use "breadcrumbs", a secondary navigation scheme to help our users identify their location on a website.
